Workshops
Short on time, long on impact.
Practical tools that help your team perform at their best, built on everything I learned in the classroom and everything I had to apply to perform in front of tens of thousands of people on any given night.
Start with The Switch or any of the ready-made workshops below, each leaving your team with actions they can apply straight away. And if your team needs something else, I'll build it for you.
The Switch
Want your people doing their best work, on demand?
What if they could do it in seconds, as often as needed, for free?
What if they could learn how in just 90 minutes?
It's called The Switch:
A structured process that's been
highly guarded in elite sport, until now.
It's how the best athletes regulate their energy and focus to perform at their peak.
And now it's yours to flip into the right state and deliver your best, consistently.
The Switch was a major reason I earned selection with the Australian Boomers and the Dallas Mavericks preseason camp.
The Switch will give your people:
- The ability to catch themselves drifting and get back to productive work in seconds.
- A way to move on from mistakes and knockbacks before they compound into bigger ones.
- The confidence to start challenging work instead of stalling over what might go wrong.
- Sustainable energy across the whole working day.

Save Your Best Thinking
Protecting Your Decision-Making
This presentation demonstrates the habits and routines that elite athletes use to help information-workers to think much more clearly, much more often. It also has the beautiful by-product of staving off burnout as well. Simply put, the best athletes make better decisions under pressure than anyone else. Contrary to popular belief, they aren't immune to distraction. Instead, they are incredibly strategic about protecting their cognitive load, saving it for when it really counts.
Same Talent, Different Result
Great Teams vs. Mediocre Teams
The differences came down to 4-5 consistent themes and practices. This has enormous carry-over to the real world, where a lot of teams are desperately lacking in these areas. Surprisingly, talent and technical ability were relatively even-matched. I've been very fortunate to be part of many championship-winning teams. I've also had the misfortune of being a part of some of the lousiest teams going around. Thankfully, I was able to record the specific differences between the two.
Why They Push Back
Resolving Conflict
This is focused more on understanding why people become confrontational (and what to do about it), rather than providing a generic framework that hardly helps in the real world. A non-conventional approach to conflict resolution.
Inside the Vortex
Thriving in the Client's Office
This workshop covers strategies that allow advisors to deliver excellence without being sucked into the vortex of a bad client environment. In some advisory firms, staff can spend long stretches embedded in a client's office. Those environments can erode effectiveness, impact, and morale. Unfortunately, this can also affect the staff's connection with their employing firm, creating issues there as well.
What Great Coaches Know
Leadership Principles from Sport's Best
I was able to spot these threads in a very small percentage of business leaders that I have interacted with. This presentation is designed to increase that percentage. Through playing all over the world, I was able to come into close contact with many great coaches, both inside and outside of basketball. The more that I interacted with them, the more I saw the common threads between them.
Matthew's effect on our team was nothing short of amazing. His knowledge of what great looks like is evident, and he is able to convey it in a way that resonates with others. He helped us to be much more connected and effective than we were before.
It was an authentic and genuinely impactful presentation that has stayed with me.
